Quarterly visits with an hour for each visit

First Visit of the Year:

  • Ask the customer if any complaints that need to be addressed

  • Check pit buckets for oil

  • Clean and remove debris from the pit/ensure pit light works

  • Clean and remove debris from the car top/ensure the car top light operates

  • Clean and remove debris from the machine room and controller/ensure proper lighting

This visit sets the trend for the rest of the year, ensuring our technicians are safe from trips, slips, and falls from poor lighting and poor housekeeping.

Second Visit of the Year:

  • Ask the customer if any complaints that need to be addressed

  • Check pit buckets for oil

  • Lubricate guide rails with light oil to ensure guides are in good condition

  • On Otis 211 adjust the selector guide tape and shoes

  • Tape should be wiped down to remove dust and debris

  • Ensure magnets are properly glued down and aligned

  • If unable to properly align, replace shoes on the next visit

  • Lubricate and inspect shaft roller switches

Third Visit of the Year:

  • Ask the customer if any complaints that need to be addressed

  • Check pit buckets for oil

  • Clean and inspect hall doors

  • Clean and inspect car doors/clutch and belt, ensuring clutch is plumb

  • Check door forces are in code compliant forces with the door gauge tool

The final visit of the year:

  • Ask the customer if any complaints that need to be addressed

  • Check pit buckets for oil

  • Ride the car with the Maxton Valve setup tool to observe ride quality if not properly running and make a plan of action to address the issues

  • Listen to doors for excessive noise or delay in running from floor

  • Check floor levels

  • Check buttons inside the car

  • Check buttons in the hall
